Origins
Originally from the island of Ponza, they arrived in Sardinia with their boats in the 1920s, when Cala Gonone was still a tiny village of just a few houses.
They also taught the art of fishing to local young people and offered tasty local cuisine in the restaurant overlooking the bay.
